Our vision of improving health and individuals’ well-being led Carbossiterapia Italiana to put to service of those who need it most its efforts and more than thirty years of experience. We proudly took part in humanitarian missions in Pakistan and founded a non-profit Association, whose first project is underway in Ivory Coast.
In 2011 we undertook our first solidarity initiative by supporting our opinion leader Dr. Gabriela Vasilescu, who took part in several humanitarian missions in the Asian area.
Dr. Vasilescu and Dr. Uzma Tiwana Ayub Khan (Professor of Dermatology at the University of Karachi)’s cooperation allowed to effectively take care of several women and children burned by acid in India and Pakistan.
Acid-vitriol attacks are a form of premeditated violence that leave survivors physically, socially and emotionally scarred.
Timing factor on this type of patients is crucial and has to follow very specific protocols.
As the cell survival of transplants is directly related to the conditions of the recipient tissue bed.
Carboxytherapy allows to improve the quality and trophism of the skin texture, which leads to increased possibilities of implanted tissue survival, as well as facilitate surgeon’s intervention.
Dr. Vasilescu and Dr. Uzma Tiwana Ayub Khan together studied highly specific protocols combined with carboxytherapy for medical-surgical treatment of second and third degree burns due to sulfuric and vitriol acids. The results of these experiences were presented internationally at the conferences in Jakarta (2011), Islamabad (2012), Milan (2012), Dubai (2013) and Karachi (2018).
Healthcare for those who can not afford it: In 2016 we undertook the project to build a Clinic in Ayamé, in the Ivory Coast south-east.
In collaboration with Mathieu Siluè, an Ivorian priest sent to Milan in 2012, our CEO Roberto Parmigiani founded a non-profit organization, whose aim is provide social, health and economic assistance to needed populations of the developing countries.
Drived by our experience in the medical field, in 2016 the organization undertook the project for the construction of a clinical structure in Ayamé, in the South-Comoe region.
The clinic was born with the aim to protect children and people, who can not afford to receive care in local hospitals. This clinical structure represents our first step to offer young people the right to grow up heathly and better future prospects.
